What is MedLect?: MedLect is an AI-powered platform designed to help medical students and professionals create high-quality, relevant flashcards from their study materials. Our AI is fine-tuned on medical literature to ensure accuracy and clinical relevance.
Who is behind MedLect?: MedLect was built by medical students and AI researchers passionate about improving medical education. Our team combines expertise in medicine, artificial intelligence, and software development.

How does the AI generate flashcards?: You can upload your lecture notes, textbook chapters, or other study materials (currently PDFs and text). Our AI analyzes the content and generates questions and answers based on key concepts, definitions, and clinical information found in your documents.
Can I export my flashcards to Anki?: Yes! All generated flashcards can be easily exported as a CSV file compatible with Anki, allowing you to integrate them into your existing study workflow.
What is MedLect Reasoning?: MedLect Reasoning is our advanced AI model available to Premium subscribers. It provides more in-depth clinical rationales and is grounded in a wider range of medical literature, including Google Scholar and peer-reviewed publications, for enhanced accuracy.

What file types are supported for upload?: Currently, MedLect supports PDF (.pdf) and plain text (.txt) files. We are working on adding support for other formats like DOCX and image files soon.

Is there a limit to how many flashcards I can generate?: The Free (MedLect Mini) plan allows up to 10 questions per request and 30 questions per day. The MedLect Reasoning (Premium) plan offers unlimited question generation.
How can I upgrade to Premium?: You can upgrade to Premium from your account dashboard or by clicking the 'Upgrade to Premium' button found in the footer or on the pricing page.

How is my data protected?: We take data privacy and security seriously. Your uploaded documents are processed securely and are not used to train our general models without your explicit consent. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for more details.
